Hello, Sabrina here.
As a design thinker & storyteller who is endlessly curious, self-motivated, and growth-minded, I’ve been interested in the intersection of creative design, technology, and education. I believe in the power of stories to bridge empathy and connect people.
My endeavors have recently revolved around exploring the topics of the intermingling of “East vs West” philosophies, the social psychology of home/formal education, as well as notions of societal expectations.
I’m a twenty-something geek interested in various interdisciplinary projects, which recently include podcasting, dried flower art, and experiential learning spaces.
I think of myself as an amateur philosopher, multi-hyphenated creative, and dreamer.
phi·los·o·pher /fəˈläsəfər/
[noun] a lover of knowledge, someone in search of the truth
am·a·teur /’aməCHər’/
Latin amā- (stem of amāre to love)
[noun] to love, to do things for the love of it
But the truth is everywhere and nowhere at the same time. The truths of the human are not black-and-white facts; it is woven into our relationships with others and with ourselves: our thoughts, reflections, and musings. Everything in life is a design choice, whether we are aware of it or not. To me, “design thinking” is about deeply engaging with these choices and reflecting on how these systems were constructed and how we can redesign them.
